Artist Resume
Phil Hathcock was born and raised in North Carolina where his appreciation for nature began at an early age. His love of rocks and boulders and a curiosity of how rock formations evolve from geological and natural events led to a career of working with stone. Throughout his profession, Phil has traveled the world and studied the many different ways in which rocks are formed, how they have been modified and used, and combined all of this knowledge into a style that is immediately recognized as a Phil Hathcock creation. His work has been exhibited widely including universities, galleries and numerous public and private arenas. You will find some of Phil’s sculptures on permanent display at Duke University, UNC-Chapel Hill and the cities of Cary and Pinehurst, NC, Charlottesville, VA and North Charleston, SC. Phil currently resides in Cary, NC.
